This program is designed to connect two important new learnings: How to find your felt sense in a Focusing way and how to use the felt sense in Negotiation or Conflict Resolution situations. In this workshop, you will learn steps that will help open up new directions in interpersonal negotiations or conflict situations. In the Focusing process you can learn how your body provides answers and directions which cannot be arrived at by thinking alone. The Focusing process helps you grow close to your inner experience so that you can be present to yourself and to others in an empathic and non - manipulative way. We also want to demonstrate how words that we use to communicate our meaning, don't say what we know and want to express. You will learn how to break the language barrier. Listening and reflecting skills are a big part of this process. |
We meet daily with interpersonal situations that need clarification, cooperation, negotiation and resolution. These conflicts can occur in close relationships, at the work place, and even on the street. Conflict can be an opportunity for healthy growth and for deepening understanding of oneself and others. The particularly innovative ingredient in this approach is learning how to incorporate your felt sense, and the felt sense of those you are interacting with, into resolutions. Skills learned from this workshop can benefit areas of life such as:
These skills will also help you in those relationship that are "closest to home" -those intimate and touchy areas you have found difficult to handle. |
