Thinking at the Edge (TAE)

Thinking at The Edge

with Nada Lou

You need to stand again in your own experiencing

- in your own felt ongoingness, which is that intricate complexity inside of life -

to put into the world what hasn't been said yet that you are carrying from your particular experiencing

This workshop will help you to learn how to articulate a new concept and idea that comes from your own inner life experience. Such process brings to life something that you did not yet have words for, but at the end you create a powerful little machine - a theory. Such concepts and theory originate from living human experience rather than being imposed by social forms from outside. Such concept in turn gains credibility and potential to influence personal, public and political change.

The TAE Model offers enormous opportunities to change the way we view the world and ourselves, how we relate to each other - on a personal, social, political and global level. TAE is about personal growth and about stimulating social and political transformation. When we learn to relate to our own creative, life-giving possibilities in a purposeful, respectful way - we can not but promote such a relationship to the rest of humanity. What one person "knows" in an intricate, unarticulated felt sense can be processed through TAE into a credible principle. These new principles have the potential to advance the state of the world in remarkable ways.

TAE method can be used and is recommended for

  • business meetings,
  • personal development,
  • professional proposals,
  • partnership dialogue,
  • private projects development,
  • creative writing,
  • family interaction,
  • public speaking,
  • educational events,
  • negotiation skills,
  • mediation process
  • and in endless other endeavors.

Thinking at the Edge (TAE) is the second philosophical practice to be created by Dr. Eugene Gendlin out of his Philosophy "Entry into the Implicit". Dr. Gendlin is a Philosopher; the practices of Focusing and TAE are embedded in his philosophy. The first practice, Focusing, has been used around the world for several decades. In TAE as in Focusing, familiarity with the rich, implicit complexity of experiencing ourselves from the inside is vital. Felt Sense or Direct Referent is the touchstone in this process.

Focusing and TAE are how you DO what this powerful Philosophy explains.

  • *If you find these ideas exciting, intriguing, and promising,
  • *If you want to start your own TAE Project and need help,
  • *If you are part of a group that needs guidance and would benefit from this way of working
  • *If you know a group interested in a TAE Workshop or Presentation
  • *If you would like to have an Introductory Session
  • *If you need someone to … -give you tips -guide you through your ideas

Who would want to attend

Anyone who wishes to tap into their generative process. It might be a challenge about your work, insight into your creative endeavors, relationships expansion…. YOU know about something that is at that edge of knowing and not yet knowing. You want it to be said, but it is still disorganized, words that you use don't say what you mean, you gesture with your hands, people misunderstand it ..... Yet you felt sense that it has more of a story to be said and it has value for you and potentially for many others.
