Focusing with Children into Adulthood, could also be a good subtitle for this video. The sharing of these two young adults at the Conference was a demonstration of growing up with focusing. In this production, the attention is turned to the process of how this story evolved. With many clips from their childhood, including a full focusing session between Elizabeth (12 at the time) and her mother Marianne, the focus of this video is on "how" it was done.

There are clips of Marianne, as a young mother, describing to teachers and other parents, how she made a decision to help her young children (3, 5 and 7 at the time) to stay connected to their natural felt sensing; Elizabeth (as a 12 year old) recounting how she taught a kindergartner to take care of her own feelings ; a story written by Elisabeth in grade 7 "What it means to be free", a beautiful and mature elaboration of a young teen about the sense of freedom from outer and inner oppression.

At the Gathering, Elizabeth and John shared how their knowledge of focusing helped them during their formal education through the University years and career making decisions.
